First Pakistan International Airlines Flight Lands in Kabul

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) passenger plane from Islamabad touched down in Kabul on Monday morning, according to an airline spokesman. This marks the first flight to land in Afghanistan from neighboring Pakistan since the chaotic final withdrawal of US troops last month. PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan said in a statement that the service was a “special flight” to create “goodwill” with the people of Afghanistan and to “strengthen humanitarian efforts.”

Deposed Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi was unable to attend a court hearing for health reasons, her lawyers have said. Prince Andrew Served with Lawsuit Alleging He Abused Teenager

Attorneys for a woman who has accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager said he has been served with a federal lawsuit. An affidavit filed Friday in New York’s Southern District, where Virginia Giuffre filed the suit last month, said the Duke of York was served Aug. 27 at his home, The Royal Lodge in Windsor.
