The UN Commission on Human Rights has asked for proof that Dubai’s missing princess is alive. Princess Latifa is a daughter of one of the world’s richest men, Dubai’s billionaire ruler Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum. The 35-year-old claims she was beaten, drugged and imprisoned, firstly in a jail and then in a villa with bars at the window, after she attempted to escape from Dubai in February 2018.

While Friday’s return is heavily symbolic, world leaders say they expect America to prove its seriousness after four years of being pretty much absent. Excitement Builds over New Images from Perseverance Rover

The American space agency is expected to release new photos from its Perseverance rover shortly. There was huge excitement at Nasa when its one-tonne robot touched down in Mars’ Jezero Crater on Thursday. Satellites have since been flying over the ($2.7bn) vehicle to pull off data to relay back to Earth. Perseverance is sitting almost bang in the middle of its targeted landing zone.
