The White House personnel office has said that staff must cover their faces at all times except when seated at their desks, socially distant from colleagues. Fire in Russian Hospital Kills 5 Coronavirus Patients

A fire that broke out in an intensive care ward in a hospital in St. Petersburg in Russia has killed five people with Covid-19, according to Russian media reports. The fire may have been caused due to one of the ventilation machines short-circuiting, Russian news agency Tass reported Tuesday. Tass later reported Tuesday that Russia will stop using the ‘Aventa-M’ model of ventilator until an investigation into the St. Petersburg hospital is complete.

New COVID-19 Infections in China, South Korea Raise Alarm

China and South Korea reimposed lockdowns Monday after a spike in new infections of the coronavirus raised concerns of a second wave of the pandemic. At least 15 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Shulan, China, prompting officials to quarantine 290 people. Elon Musk Reopens California Tesla Factory

Elon Musk announced on Twitter that Tesla would resume production at its northern California factory on Monday afternoon, in defiance of a local public health order designed to slow the spread of coronavirus. “Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules,” the billionaire CEO tweeted. “I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.”
