Trump Foundation to Dissolve Amid Lawsuit

President Trump’s personal charitable foundation agreed to dissolve under judicial supervision in the wake of a lawsuit claiming that the President and his three oldest children violated campaign finance laws and abused its tax-exempt status. The lawsuit claims the foundation was used as ‘little more than a checkbook’ for President Trump’s business and personal spending.

Bump Stocks Banned

The Trump administration has fulfilled its promise to ban bump stocks which let rifles fire like machine guns. White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders announced the final date to destroy or turn in the devices is March 21, 2019. The push to ban bump stocks came following mass shootings in October 2017 and February 2018.

British Airways Resumes Pakistan Flights After 10 Years

British Airways will resume flights to Pakistan ten years after a deadly terror attack at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad. The airline stopped Pakistan flights after 54 people including 6 British citizens were killed in the September 2008 attack. British Airways will become the only Western airline to service Pakistan beginning on June 2, 2019.

Former National Security Adviser Sentencing Delayed

A US judge delayed the sentencing of President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Tuesday. The judge criticized Flynn for lying to FBI during the Russian election probe telling him ‘you sold your country out.’ Flynn’s lawyers requested a delay in sentencing which the judge granted until March 13, 2019.

Belgium PM Submits Resignation Amid Migration Disputes

Belgium’s Prime Minister Charles Michel submitted his resignation days after one of his main coalition partners quit amid migration disagreements. Michel lost support from the nationalist New Flemish Alliance after signing a UN migration deal last week. Michel announced his resignation to Belgium’s king on Tuesday. The king will announce whether he accepts the resignation.

Saturn’s Rings Disintegrating

New research from NASA shows that Saturn is losing its rings. Scientists believe the rings could disappear in less than 100 million years as they are already being pulled apart by Saturn’s gravity and turned into ‘ring rain.’ The new study says the rings are being destroyed at the maximum speed estimated decades before.
