The Presidential Records Act requires all official White House records and communications to be preserved. The spokesman for Trump’s ethics counsel claimed her emails never contained classified information.
Four people were killed in a shooting at Mercy Hospital in Chicago on Monday, including the gunman. After shooting the apparent target in the parking lot, the gunman went inside the hospital where he killed two female staff members and a police officer. The staff members killed were a doctor and pharmaceutical assistant. It is not clear if the gunman took his own life.
The Chairman of Nissan Carlos Ghosn was arrested in Japan after an internal investigation revealed ‘significant acts of misconduct’ over a period of many years. Ghosn was fired as Nissan Chairman on Monday for under-reporting his income to Japan authorities. Nissan board director Greg Kelly was also accused of misconduct and wrongdoing.

Documentary filmmaker Fu Yue used her acceptance speech to call for Taiwan’s recognition as ‘an independent entity.’ The chair of the committee, Oscar award-winning director Ang Lee, commented that everyone is allowed to speak freely.

The Volcano de Fuego or Volcano of Fire in Guatemala erupted once again this year forcing thousands of people to evacuate their homes. The latest eruption comes after over 100 people were killed during a violent June eruption. Nearly 4,000 people were evacuated from their homes with over 2,000 being housed in shelters.
