Dutch Authorities Stop Major Terror Plot

Seven men were arrested on suspicion of planning an extremist attack in the Netherlands on Thursday. Authorities carried out a month-long investigation after the Dutch intelligence tipped off the Police about the plot. The attack was planned for a large event to cause multiple casualties. Authorities believe the terror plot would have been performed with AK-47 guns, grenades, and a car bomb.

Israel PM Claims Iran Nuclear Warehouse Discovered

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Israel identified a ‘secret atomic warehouse’ in Tehran, Iran which contains nuclear and radioactive materials. Netanyahu made his claim at the UN General Assembly on Thursday and called for new sanctions against Iran. Netanyahu used satellite images of the supposed nuclear warehouse to support his claims.

China Opposes UN Myanmar Evidence Collection

China voted against the UN creation of a body to prepare human rights abuse evidence against Myanmar, saying the Rohingya issue should not be ‘internationalized.’ Evidence will be gathered by the UN for ‘fair and independent criminal proceedings.’ Canada voted to strip Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi of her honorary Canadian citizenship due to the Rohingya crisis.

All Passengers Rescued in Air Niugini Crash

All 47 passengers and crew were rescued from an Air Niugini flight that crashed into the sea in Micronesia on Thursday. The Papua New Guinea Accident Investigation Committee will send a team to the site crash. The plane was involved in another incident earlier this year. The cause of the crash remains unclear.
